Ok so most of you know I just returned from serving in Jacksonville for the past two week. Well many have asked what was it like. Well I decided I’d be 100% honest. It was the Amazing thing I’ve ever done because it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. No other time in my life have I never excited and every waking minute was spent in the service of God, but also realizing how hard hearted his children have become. But also knowing a lot of it comes from the traditions of their fathers, fathers. I wish words could express the tear of sadness and extreme joy I have felt. But what I can tell you is some of the things I have learned after returning home and really thinking about it all, some of which I would have learned so much sooner so I could have been more effective.
But that's why I want to share it with you!
Ok first is about missionary work it self. The most important thing to missionary work is you!! No matter what I did as a missionary it all came back the members. It IS your responsibility as a disciple of Christ to share his truth with those who you meet. Yes your example is a great way but if they never know why u act the way you do then what good is your example to them, I mean really?
Ok point two just open your mouth, come-on you know how there's been that new thing that you've tried that you've loved and then you've had to share it with the whole world, I mean why do so many of you have face book, or cell phones. Well guess what the gospel IS the greatest gift in this world. This gospel is the knowledge that Jesus Christ truly LIVES he really does speak in these the last days, and how dare you not share that I mean really you have the greatest news in the world, you have a plan of happiness, restored to the earth. Count your blessings and share it.
ok now how can I state this so boldly now well you know that's kind of the crazy part on my mission I was so scared to open my mouth but shortly after returning I was able to go to a meeting with the new mission president of the North Carolina Raleigh Mission, and well let me put it this way the spirit was STRONG and I truly was spiritually uplifted to a new height that I hope I never ever come down from. I know tomorrow is our testimony meeting through out the world but I figured for a change I would put my down in a written form for all my friends
I know that my Redeemer Lives, I know this because he speaks to us in these latter days, he speaks through two main forms. Through the words of his servants, President Thomas S. Monson and the twelve apostles. He also has brought about the printing of the words of the Prophets from both the stick of
Judea, and the stick of Ephraim. Those words are the Lords words to you to me to all his children. He also even speaks more directly to you/me through the third member of the God head the Holy Ghost AKA the Spirit. You see something I never understood is when the spirit prompts it is really Heavily Father and Jesus Christ speaking to you through the Spirit because they are in perfect unison. Because of this it is of the utmost importance that we always remain worth to have the sprit with us so we can be lead and guided back to the path that returns to the father. I know these things too be true, I know that the Lord Lives and he loves us to open the heavens and speak to us through a living prophet once again, and that he has restored his power agin to the earth for the blessing of his children. If I know nothing else in this world I do know that he does love you/me He truly s our loving heavenly father. I am grateful for this knowledge and pray he will continue to bless me with the simple truths of this gospel. What Joy and peace is truly there if we but go and speak to the father and then open our scriptures and then LISTEN, he does speak this I know because of the price the savior paid to open those heavens once again. I love this gospel, I love this time in the world what a great time to be alive, and most importantly I love you! You are his child and he wants you to come home and I hope an pray we may all be there and these things I share in the sacred name of the Savior Jesus Christ Amen
